EMDR

I specialize in a treatment approach called EMDR. In my work as both an individual and a couples counselor, I have found it to be an invaluable tool as I find it moves a person forward at a much greater speed than any other therapy I have practiced.

EMDR is an acronym for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is an 8 phased treatment approach (developed in 1990 by psychologist Francine Shapiro), that has been extensively researched and proven to be effective for the treatment of a variety of issues.

EMDR not only works excellently well with trauma as we understand it, but also in situations where people have negative self- belief, struggles with issues like self esteem, anxiety, depression, addictions, obsessive behavior and a myriad of other situations.
